Founded in 2001 the Washington Award has recognized over 60 talented artists in music, dance, and visual arts.
Art call for emerging artists looking to further their craft.
***Applicants must not be enrolled part/full time in a degree granting program. International applicants are welcome to apply.
The Washington Award recognizes talented artists who are working in visual arts, music, and dance.
Washington Award winners get an unconditional cash prize of $5,000 to support career development. An additional $5,000 may also be awarded as a Grand Prize to an artist of outstanding ability. Winners become part of the S&R Foundation that includes a network of artists, social entrepreneurs, and scientists. Award winners are highlighted at the Washington Award Ceremony in Washington D.C. during the coming Spring of 2018. Award winners may also be eligible for performances or exhibitions supported by the S&R Foundation.
