What Makes this event different?

This is one of the few artists residencies inside a National Park, that gives artists 24/7 access to the park, provides a mini-grant and introduces the artists to park rangers, scientists, biologists and community leaders to enhance their experience and understanding of the unique and fragile ecosystem of the Everglades.

Call to artists for the AIRIE one-month multi-disciplinary artist residency in partnership with Everglades National Park. Artists are invited, one at a time, to live and work for a month inside the Everglades National Park. Artists will work with AIRIE and the Park to enhance their understanding of this unique and fragile ecosystem.

Each artist/artist group will be provided with a mini-grant of $1000, a furnished, air-conditioned apartment, 24/7 access to the Everglades National Park and introductions to park rangers, scientists, biologists, cultural and community leaders.
