The Matador Review , an alternative art and literature magazine, is accepting submissions for the Winter 2018 publication. We publish visual art, flash fiction, poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. We invite all unpublished literature that is written in the English language and we accept translations that are accompanied by the original text. The call for submissions ends November 30th.
Our goal is to promote "alternative work" from both art and literature, and we seek to encourage the new-wave of respect for online publications. Wtih each issue, we offer a selection of work from both established and emerging artists. We also offer exclusive book reviews and interviews from creators who are provocative. We see alternative as a way of voice and experience. Alternative is the distinction from what is conventional, and it advocates for a progressive attitude.
