What Makes this event different?

The ARTBOX.PROJECT is known for supporting young upcoming artists. With this platform, artists can present their art to the public. In contrast with other art competitions, ARTBOX.PROJECT shows artists who are NOT among the finalists at the exhibition. Every artist has the opportunity to be seen and discovered with us. Thanks to the use of new technologies and the exhibition of art on digital media such as LED screens, many exciting contacts have been established for artists from all over the world. Due to ARTBOX.PROJECT, many participants and finalists have made an important career step, sold their works, and received gallery presentations.

From August 15th to 19th, 2019 the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 1.0 will be part of the SWISS ART EXPO, in the time-honoured SBB event hall under the huge sculpture "NANA" by Niki de Saint Phalle. With more than 80,000 visitors daily, this is one of the most visited places in Switzerland. It is expected that over half a million visitors will see the artworks throughout the entire exhibition period.

In the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0, the jury will be selecting 10 finalists and 100 semi-finalists. The finalists will have the opportunity to exhibit their original artworks at the SWISSARTEXPO, while the semi-finalists will be shown digitally on our large 2x2 meter LED screen. Registered artworks, that are not selected as finalists, will be shown digitally on the "Walk of Art" during the entire exhibition period. The Walk of Art is a 40-meter long path with over 15 different high-resolution 55" portrait and landscape screens.

Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to vote for the artwork of their favorite among the finalists and semi-finalists. The winner chosen by the visitors with the most votes will receive a cooperation contract with THE ARTBOX.GALLERY Switzerland in Zurich.
