Chalk Hill Artist Residency 2018

Add to Favorites Report Listing

Art Call - Residency

Applications are open to artists working in all media whether in fine arts, design, multi-media, performance, dance, musicians, sound artists, writers, etc. Artists can attend the program for 2 to 10 weeks. Artists stay in a 1925 farmhouse. Occasionally, artist residencies overlap and the house is shared with a fellow resident. Studio spaces are in re-purposed rustic barns.

The Warnecke Ranch and Vineyards is a historical property which was established by the Warnecke family. Artists get to enjoy and be inspired by the natural beauty of Chalk Hill. The Ranch has acres of vineyards, hiking trails, and access to the Russian River.  Our residency is located in the heart of Sonoma County, California and provides an inspiring place to live & work.

Artists can show their work in a commission-free art exhibition to promote and sell work.

The Chalk Hill Artist Residency collaborates with local non-profit organizations supporting artists who live with disabilities and hosts a Studio Program with local nonprofits during the resident's stay.

You can visit our website for an overview of the program and profiles of recent residents.

The deadline to apply is August 31st, 2017. Notifications are sent out November 30th, 2017.
