Standard work weeks for interns are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. One hour for lunch adds up to approximately 35 hours per week. Interns might be required to rotate and work on some Saturdays during this timeframe. While attendance and volunteering at STARworks events is not compulsory, it is greatly encouraged and appreciated. Interns help with daily classes, operations, workshops, events, assisting other interns, demonstrations and production glassblowing. Interns are expected to assist the studio coordinator with programs, help with maintenance of hot shop, including charging and clean up, present public demonstrations and/or assist with presentations by visiting and resident artists.
