This is the 10th Edition of Lucca Biennale.
What Makes this event different?
The material used for all the art works exhibited during the Biennale are Only Paper and Cardboard. This is the reason why we are, nowadays the most important Paper art Event of the World.
The Call for art Outdoor is dedicated to those artists who want to give paper away of expression.
Lucca Biennale is the first art event dedicated to Paper as artistic and architectonic
expression. Lubi takes place every two years in Lucca, Tuscany.
Founded in 2004, it’s committed to promoting tradition, culture, sustainability and innovation
throughout the world of art and design, and it’s now heading into its tenth edition.
This Call for Entries invites artists from around the world to make themselves heard, by using
paper.
The contest, open to artists, architects and designers, aims to select monumental works of art
involving the use of paper and derivatives, focusing on originality and a bold, unique and
innovative approach. The final selection will include the exhibition, during the event, of works of
art in the squares of the city of Lucca,Tuscany. At the end of the Biennale the works will
continue to be exhibited and visited inside the historical walls bastions, becoming part of the
Biennale permanent collection.
The Theme for the 10th Edition is Fear and Desire.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The primary requirement is the use of paper and its derivatives. Each participant can submit, by
and no later than 11:59 pm on the 14 th December 2019 (GMT+1) maximum two projects,
using two differents forms. The call is open to all artists who are over 18. It is possible to
participate individually or in a maximum of two people.
