photographic call for entry "Being Set Free"

Art call to photographers who are working at all levels are invited to submit images reflecting the theme "Being Set Free" to A Smith Gallery by January 11th, 2018.

The unique project Being Set Free is one where artists evolve their digital artworks to achieve personal discovery and self-healing.  A short contextual ‘story’ written by the artist, of no more than 150 words, should accompany each image.

The entry fee is $35 for the first 5 images and $6 for each additional image. 

Up to thirty five images will be selected for exhibit and shown in the Salon gallery from February 23rd to April 15th, 2018. 

Separate receptions receptions will be held on February 24th and March 31st, 2018 from 4 to 8pm.  A full color Blurb catalogue of the exhibit with all the accepted entries will be available for purchase. 

Awards are $325 for Juror’s Selection, $250 for Director’s selection and $100 for Visitors’ Award.

Jurying the images will be Amanda Smith, gallery director of A Smith Gallery, Karen Divine, artist and educator, and Melanie Walker, artist and educator.  Writing will be juried by Petra Perkins, author and artist, and Kevin Tully, writer and director of A Smith Gallery.
