The Renaissance venue of the Palmieri’s Foundation – a deconsecrated church that bears the name of Saint Sebastian – will be the perfect place to combine the ancient with today world, the past with the present, the sacred with the pagan. No other event generates the level of international exposure that our event creates.
ANIMAMUNDI
From 16 to 31 May 2021
exhibition of Contemporary Art
Palmieri’s Foundation, Lecce, Italy
Curated by Dores Sacquegna
“The soul of our civilization depends on the civilization of our soul. The imagination of our culture requires a culture of imagination “.
The exhibition aims to represent – through the works of contemporary artists – the concept of ANIMA MUNDI in the contemporary world. From Carl Jung to James Hillman, from mythology to psychology…codes, archetypes and imaginaries change and modify themselves with a super technological world, leading us to increasingly innovative theories and challenges that leave no room for the awakening of the psyche, for the return to nature and sense of rebirth.
The Renaissance venue of the Palmieri’s Foundation – a deconsecrated church that bears the name of Saint Sebastian – will be the perfect place to combine the ancient with today world, the past with the present, the sacred with the pagan.
Free interpretation.
