Eye of the Beholder: The Art of the Found Object

Call for entries for Eye of the Beholder: The Art of the Found Object is Maryland Federation of Art's (MFA) 7th biennial found objects competition.

The exhibit is held to showcase collage and assemblage fine art that has been created from one or more found objects. Repurposed machine parts, reused items from around the house, recycled paper, and more can be used to create new works of art. Please note, artwork that includes but is not constructed of found objects, as well as photographs or paintings of assemblage art are not eligible. Artists who are from the US, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico are invited to enter this show. 

The juror is Jim Condron, Adjunct Professor of Art at Maryland College Institute of Art and Towson University.

Entry Fees:

Up to 2 entries: $40 for non-members, $25 for members

Each additional entry is $5, for a maximum of up to 6 entries total

Awards: $1,000

Schedule:

April 22 – Entry deadline

June 24 - July 24, 2021 – Exhibition will be on display at Circle Gallery, 18 State Cir., Annapolis, MD 21401
