What Makes this event different?
This exhibition will feature a selection of artists who are using illustration to engage larger audiences via social, digital and print media. Graphic Era introduces visitors to the digital arts and artists who adapt this artform to a new generation and their interests.

Artist must obtain copyrights to their images prior to submitting.
Image Usage Rights
Images are used by the Delaplaine for promotional purposes only.

About the juror: Kat Irannejad is the Co-Founder and an Executive Illustration Agent at Snyder New York, a women-owned (MWBE) artist representation agency based in New York City and London that represent illustrators, designers, animators, and image makers from around the world. She received her BFA from Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, and received her MFA in Painting and an MS in Art History at the Pratt Institute. She was previously a photo and illustration editor, working at The New York Observer and National Geographic Books. She currently lives and works in New York City.
Accepted entrants: All accepted artwork must be submitted to the Delaplaine as a high resolution digital file (300 dpi) by 5:00 PM, on Monday, March 9. Artists with accepted works will be sent additional instruction.
PLEASE NOTE: All accepted artwork (with the exception of videos/GIFs) will be printed in full color and installed by Delaplaine staff. Printable works should be saved as a file for printing on 16in x 20in paper. Failure to comply with this requirement may disqualify an entry from the competition. Each print will be priced and sold at $100, with 50% of the sale going to the artist All animated videos/GIFs and illustrations will be presented as a loop on a monitor within the gallery. Animated works will be listed as Not For Sale (NFS).
All artwork should be completed in the last 2 years.
Fee: $35 per artist for up to three (3) images ($25 if artist is a current member of the Delaplaine). VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted.
Number of Pieces: Artists may enter up to 3 works (in JPEG/GIF/iMovie format) for consideration. Each work should be uploaded as one low resolution digital image.
Images Specifications: Must be in JPEG/GIF/iMovie format (72 dpi). All accepted artwork (with the exception of GIFs) will be printed in full color and installed by Delaplaine staff. Printable works should be saved as a file for printing on 16in x 20in paper. Failure to comply with this requirement may disqualify an entry from the competition. All animated GIFs/videos and illustrations will be presented as a loop on a monitor within the gallery.
