Glasgow Gallery of photography is an international photography gallery in Glasgow, Scotland.

What Makes this event different?

Entry is Free and only participating Photographer pay a participation fee. This event is not a competition, but a juried exhibition. This photography exhibition is an opportunity for all photographers to bring forth their work to a new audience. All photographers who enters will have at least 1 of their images selected to be exhibited, the work will also be shown digitally and on our website with an audience of 2000 visitors a week. We are a one of a kind gallery in the UK.

Copyright Policy

You are the only copyright owner and creator of the photographs. The photographs do not infringe upon the copyrights or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person’s rights of privacy, does not include trademarks owned by third parties or violate any other law. All entrants agree to fully indemnify Glasgow gallery of photography in respect of all royalties, fees and any other financial debt to any person by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing. ​ The royalties of the Works are not bestowed to The GGOP at any time. The copyright of the Works remains in the creators and in them alone. ​ The copyright of the Works during and after the exhibition remains with the Artist. GGOP does not have the right to make use of or bestow the high definition files or the prints of the Works that will be used for the realization of the exhibition. GGOP will not have any commercial profit from the Works that will be exhibited and it cannot exploit them at any time. ​

This is a very important exhibition for the gallery, It will be our first fully exhibited exhibition since we had to close our doors in March due to the covid outbreak.
 

Our aim is to create an exhibition that is both a celebration of photography and a celebration of the Gallery. We would like for you to send us your 10 BEST images. They can be anything you like. For example, it can be your favourite image you have taken this year, it can be something that you have never shown anyone before, any genre, style or photographic medium.

How do I enter?

 

1. PREPARE A SELECTION OF 10 PHOTOS (MAXIMUM 10 MB PER PHOTO)
Send us Hi res 300ppi JPEGS ONLY 
Send your name and country of origin and the title of the exhibition you are entering (i.e. 2020 exhibition) in the upload links on our website.



2. ENTRY IS FREE, Only selected artists will pay a participation fee of £33 this will cover the printing and exhibition of your image for 7 days.

3. Please make sure your image files are named with your name. This is very important. 



What do I get for my £33.00?

Your work will be printed to a high standard and will be hung in the Glasgow Gallery of Photography for 7 days. The work you present will also be permanently featured on our website and shared via Facebook, Intasgram and twitter, our website has roughly 2000 visitors a week and our Media channels over 30'000 views.

Pay the £33.00 fee and we will do the rest.

GLASGOW GALLERY DOES NOT MAKE ANY COMMERCIAL PROFIT FROM YOUR IMAGES, we do not own or retain the rights to your images, we will not sell your work submitted to any third party, once the exhibition ends your image file is deleted and print disposed off safely.

Closing Date: July 31st 2020

All rights to the photographs stay with the photographers at all times, 
The frames used will remain the property of ggop and cannot be sent to the photographers afterwards.
