Event History

The 2021 Inverness Festival of the Arts is a fine art show that is returning to downtown this year to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary! This Festival of the Arts is the longest-running juried art festival in Citrus County, FL. The Festival since 1971 has been a beacon of fine arts in the area and today the festival brings thousands to downtown Inverness. This 2-day festival is a signature event for the city and brings fine artists to historic downtown for visitors to explore and shop. We invite you to attend this year's art festival, which is free and open to the public.

Image Usage Rights

If selected to exhibit at the Inverness Festival of the Arts, the artist authorizes the use of the images submitted and work displayed at the festival for festival publicity or documentation.

Basic Festival Information:

Application Images: 4 (a booth shot is required)

Application Fee: $25.00

Booth Fee: $200.00

You can submit up to 4 applications in separate categories for this festival.

Application Deadline: July 29, 2021

Notification Date: August 27, 2021

Booth Fee Deadline: September 10, 2021

Booth fees paid after September 10th will have an additional processing fee of $50.00

 

ARTIST AMENITIES

  • Overnight Security 
  • Artist and Assistant name tag.
  • Friday Check-In & Set-Up. Saturday Check-in available but must be set up by 9 a.m.
  • Clean indoor bathrooms.
  • Free Parking and RV/Trailer Parking provided.
  • Booth sitting.
  • Continental breakfast items on Saturday and Saturday from 7:30-8:30 a.m. for Artists and their Assistant.
  • Award presentation followed by dinner on Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Media promotions for Award winners.

 

JURY INFORMATION
  • Jurors of the festival are selected for their experience and expertise. A diversity of backgrounds and skills is sought, including artists and educators. 
  • Each guest juror views artists in a random order according to category.
  • Jurors judge on an individual basis on their own computers after the application period closes.
  • Scoring is 1 (low) to 7 (high), based on originality, creativity, design, technique, craftsmanship, production methodology, and booth presentation.
  • Jury scores are combined and averaged.
  • Selection is by the jury process only, except for the 2020 and 2019 Best of Show and Judges Award’s Winners.
  • The decisions of the judges are final.
  • Notification of initial juried acceptance will be done by email no later than August 27th.
