Medusa

Medusa will be a contemporary and fine art online exhibition that exemplifies the theme of Mythical Creatures and will be on virtual display between February 1 – February 29.  All artworks must stay within the mythical/magical creature theme and can include any creature/animal from any origin, country, fable or genre. Accepting all art styles.

HOW TO ENTER

Please review the dates and deadlines at the bottom of this page. Entries can only be submitted online via the website. A separate application must be filled out for each exhibit.    

ELIGIBLE MEDIA
Accepting all contemporary and fine art genre submissions. Submissions are open internationally. All work must have been completed within the years 2015-2020 and not previously exhibited at any Envision Arts Exhibition. Eligible media include, but are not limited to: drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, oil/chalk pastels, block/ink print, pottery/vessels, sculpture, assemblage, digital art, collage, metal work, jewelry design, fiber/textile art, wood work and contemporary craft. If a genre, medium or material you specialize in is not listed, please email envisionartshow@gmail.com to provide specifics about your work.

NUMBER OF ENTRIES + APPLICATION FEE
Each artist is limited to six (6) images per submission. There is a $10 (USD) non-refundable/non-transferable fee, for up to six (6) images. Payments must be submitted online at the time of application. Deadline to submit work is January 29, 2020 at 5 PM CST.

ARTIST NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Accepted artists will be notified no later than January 31, 2020 via their provided email.

AWARDS
Best in Show: Envisions Arts will announce one Best In Show for the exhibition. Winners will be emailed a certificate.

Honorable Mention: Envisions Arts will announce between one and three honorable mentions in varying categories. Winners will be emailed a certificate.

JUROR / CO-JURORS
Envisions Arts Assistant Director, Frisco-based artist, and recent MBA grad, Reanna DiPaolo has served as collaborator and co-juror for numerous art exhibitions and projects throughout north Texas. Her work has been published and displayed throughout north Texas.

PUBLICITY
The exhibition will be publicized locally, regionally and nationally via our social media platforms, email, and press release. Envision Arts reserves the right to use photographs and/or digital images of any accepted work for the purpose of publicity for either the exhibit or the artist.
