Call for entries for photographers

Fotogalerie Friedrichshain invites artists to participate in its next collective photography exhibition in Berlin. The the theme is “Portraits without borders“.

What makes a photograph a portrait?

Today portrait photography is all around us and has become an ever more powerful tool in its ability to define individual and collective identities. Since the mid-19th century portraiture has been constantly reinvented by photographers. It has expanded without limits, into a wide spectrum of practices. The definition of a photographic portrait seems to be increasingly complex. Fotogalerie Friedrichshain invites photographers to gather in a group exhibition that will challenge the limits of current portrait photography.
