Copyright Policy

The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to Works, will remain the property of the artist and any enquiries in relation to such rights will be referred to the artist. So far as any rights in the Works are owned by a third party that third party will remain the owner of such rights in and to the Works.

Image Usage Rights

The Exhibition Administrators have the right to copy and/or reproduce the Works and to communicate and/or issue such copies to the public in connection with the exhibition, for advertising the sale of the Works, for educational and public workshops, and for general marketing or promotional purposes, and other related activities, including without limitation the incorporation of images of the Works within promotional and marketing materials, postcards, catalogues, posters, DVDs, on Exhibition Administrators' websites, in workshop presentations and on information screens throughout the exhibiting gallery and any media now known or hereafter devised.

The RBA is looking for submissions of work that display the highest standards of expression, skill and concept of draughtsmanship.

Artists are invited to submit artworks for exhibit with the members of the Royal Society of British Artists at their Annual Exhibition in 2018. All artists who are over 18 may submit.

All mediums are acceptable including sculpture and original prints. The submission fee is £15 per work payable at the time of submitting (£10 per work for artists aged 35 or under). A maximum of six works may be submitted, three of which can be original framed prints. A maximum of four works may be selected. Artwork must not have been exhibited previously. All artworks should not be larger than 2.4m in the longest dimension. Paintings must be completely dry at the time of delivery.

All artwork wil be for sale. The price of artworks must include commission of 45%+VAT (with the exception of works for which foundry fees are applicable, where the commission is 33.3%+VAT) .

The minimum price for works is £300 (framed prints: £180, unframed prints: £120).
