Archivo is editing a new series of books dealing with photography / film, the archive, and documentary contemporary practices, and is interested in making editorial collaborations with writers and researchers.

The first book will be published in October 2018.

The books objective is to provide a comprehension about documentary theory and practice, in relation to the archive (photography and film), approaching diverse thoughts and proposals within the contemporary scene.

As an extension of the work developed in Archivo Platform, the books will explore the current practices and discourses around the archive, provided by the collaboration with visual artists, writers and researchers who investigate issues arising from historical, political, cultural and critical standpoints.

The editorial work is connected to a research project developed in the European Centre for Documentary Research, at the University of South Wales, in the United Kingdom.
