What Makes this event different?

Our contest is not about photoprojects that cater to the existing general demand. It's about discovering new ways to tell a story using the means and tools of photography. We encourage artistic freedom and diversity therefore we don't impose time constraints upon our participants. We do not limit them in their choices of subjects and creativity methods.

Bird in Flight Prize is an international award for innovative approach in creating a photo story. We are not looking for the conventional photo projects that adhere to societal norms and expectations. Our goal is to find new storytelling ways and approaches.

Participants are not restricted in terms of the subject matter, tools and methods of their work with the imagery. We allow post-editing and usage of other copyrighted images.

Photographers from all over the globe are welcome to participate
