Event History

This gallery space is unique; it is housed in a massive Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront in Brooklyn, NY. For our fourth biennial COLOR show, the gallery's enormous space gives us the ability to exhibit huge work, and we welcome it. Our curators will use 8,000 square feet for this show. We look forward to exhibiting artist’s work from all around the country, work in all sizes, and subjects, and media.

What Makes this event different?

Art call for artists.

"In visual perception a color is almost never seen as it really is—as it physically is. This fact makes color the most relative medium in art. In order to use color effectively it is necessary to recognize that color deceives continually. Color is “passive,” “deceptive,” and “unstable,” color behaves, color is magic."  Joseph Albers, Interaction of Color
