Event History
This is the 19th year of MCMA's annual "Metro Montage" juried exhibition. This is a favorite exhibition hosted by MCMA and through the years it has maintained its popularity with artists and patrons. The Opening Reception is one of the biggest of the year at MCMA and draws hundreds of visitors.
Image Usage Rights
By submitting, MCMA will be given consent to use submitted images for any future promotional purposes.
Call to Artists
The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art in historic Marietta Square seeks submissions for Metro Montage XIX. This exhibit showcases and celebrates the breadth of skill and creativity demonstrated by artists throughout the United States today. This is a national call for entries and all variations of subject matter, medium, and genre in art are welcome. The exhibition is juried by an anonymous committee of art professionals that is led by the MCMA curator. The exhibition runs July 13th - September 8th, 2019.
Submission deadline is April 17th, 2019.
The submission fee is $40 ($35 for members of MCMA). A maximum of 3 submitted works may be submitted per submission fee.
Conditions: Artwork may not have an overall width or height in excess of 80 inches. Art installations must be approved prior to the submission deadline, as they are subject to denial based on size and/or installation requirements.
All entries must be original work that is recent (within the past 10 years) and has not been previously shown at MCMA.
Photography submissions must be one of a limited edition and not showing elsewhere during Metro Montage.
Any accepted art that arrives altered or different in any way from the image submission will be disqualified.
If accepted, MCMA does not cover shipping costs of art to/from the exhibition.
MCMA retains 30% commission of any works sold during this exhibition.
