This is the second volume of Ancestors, Place, and Memory. The first was published in 2015 with the theme: "Our Stories Will Never Die". The zine was very successful and gathered work from artists and writers from across the US and some international as well.
Copyright Policy
All writers and artists will retain their copyright and can submit the same pieces to be published elsewhere. We would just like to publish it first, if chosen the work should be unpublished.
Image Usage Rights
Images submitted will only be used in the publication and promotion of the zine itself.

The Land Lives Forever
Pochino Press is seeking short stories, essays, and poems, as well as illustration, photography, and visual art for a small zine publication to be released in late November 2018, in print and electronic versions.
Themes: Ancestors, Place, and Memory, The Land Lives Forever
After the success of Ancestors, Place and Memory, Our Stories Will Never Die, in 2015, we are now opening a second call for vol.2. This year’s zine will focus on the same concept of Ancestors, Place, and Memory with a different theme that focuses on our connections to Land.
We welcome submissions of finished, unpublished works with these themes to be considered for a zine published and distributed in Oakland, CA and online. The deadline for submissions is October 15th 2018, 10pm PST.

Regular submission is $10 (submissions received September 6th - October 15th, 10pm PST)
Submit finished, unpublished works only. Anything in draft form with multiple grammatical inconsistencies and typos or that has appeared in another publication in print or online will not be considered.
Submit works that you feel fit within the themes of this zine. There are no geographical restrictions; writers and artists can be from anywhere!
