Imagined Photography Call for Entries – A Smith Gallery
im-ag-ined : thought up, visionary, poetic, dreamlike, fictional, and surreal. This photography call for entries invites artists to explore the boundaries of imagination through image-making, from the whimsical and fantastical to the conceptual and illusory.
A Smith Gallery invites photographers of all levels to submit work interpreting the theme Imagined. We welcome a wide range of approaches, including fine art photography, conceptual photography, experimental processes, and narrative-driven imagery that reflects invented or reimagined realities.
Juror: Susan Burnstine, photographer and educator
A total of 47 images will be selected for exhibition in the online gallery from June 19 to July 30, 2026. All accepted works will be included in an exhibition catalogue available for purchase.
From the exhibited works, 27 images will be selected for The 27, a limited-edition hardbound fine art book. The Juror’s Award and Director’s Award recipients will each receive a copy of the book along with an online solo exhibition. The Visitors’ Award ($100) will be determined by the highest number of Instagram likes.

Entry Fee: $40 for the first 5 images, $5 for each additional image
