Art call from Mills Pond Gallery.

Artists are invited to submit artwork for a juried exhibition on the theme “A Summer Song.” The juror for the exhibition is Carol Strickland.

The call is open to USA artists who are age 18 or older. All media will be considered except photography, digital, or new-media computer-generated art.

The juried art call is open to varied interpretations on the subject, from literal to far-ranging. Representational images of summer-related activities, sights, impressions, and/or atmosphere—as well as abstract or surrealistic evocations inspired by the subject are all welcome. Expressions can range from images of sun, sea, surf, and verdure to a melancholy awareness of summer’s last gasp, a prelude to fall.

Artists can respond to the musical aspect of this call for entries. One can interpret the rhythm of the season, composing a visual image of summer’s harmonies.

Awards: $750 Best in Show, $500 Second Place, $200 Third Place.

The entry deadline is March 29, 2018.
