What Makes this event different?
BSF understands that some video and short film blur the lines of typical film festival categories. We enthusiastically encourage experimental and non-traditional formats. The stories of girls, women and female makers are underrepresented in film festivals. We are encouraging submissions from anyone who identifies as female, non-binary, and/or anyone telling stories about women and girls. BSF 2017 will screen on October 1st and 2nd, 2017 in Zumzeig Cine, Barcelona. Zumzeig Cine is an independent, non-profit organisation, and the first cooperative cinema in Catalonia. BSF is run by a non-profit organisation that supports a culture of diversity, equality and non-discrimination.
Copyright Policy
By submitting your work to BSF, you certify that you have obtained all the film and music rights, and clearances, including third-party clearances for everyone involved in the film/video, for your entire submission. By submitting to BSF, BSF is in no way liable for any issues arising from violations of these rights, including if they have not been legally and lawfully obtained by the participant.
Jurors
An international jury of filmmakers and video artists will select the winning categories including, Best International Short Film or Video 2017, which will receive 1000€.
