All submissions must be original work, entirely the work of the entrant, and free from any copyright infringement. No copies or likenesses of other artists’ work is permitted.

Image Usage Rights

Images of accepted works may be used at the sole discretion of Touchstone Gallery for promotional purposes including, but not limited to, the press release, invitation, website and social media. In submitting work for consideration, all entrants give permission to Touchstone Gallery to use images of selected works for publicity, education, and reproduction if an exhibition catalog is produced. Images will include attribution whenever possible.

The Touchstone Gallery in Washington, DC seeks entries for “ART OF ENGAGEMENT.”  This is a National Juried Show scheduled for August 4th - 24th, 2017.

Photographic images should reflect present-day concerns and issues. Take part in this national conversation about important issues using the universal language of art. Speak out, be bold, and stand up! Be an activist and an artist.

The juror for this exhibit is Jack Rasmussen. He is the Director and Curator, at American University Museum, Katzen Arts Center.

This art call is open to all photographers and artists living and/or working in the United States. Artists must be 18-years-old or older.

Photographs must be original visual media that is the artist's own design, concept, and work.

The entry fee: $50 for up to 3 entries/images. Artists can submit up to 3 additional entries/images at a cost of $10 per additional entry.

AWARDS: 1st Prize: $750, 2nd Prize: $500, 3rd Prize: $250.

The Touchstone Gallery is an artist-owned gallery that is located in Washington, DC. It is close to major national and private galleries. Since its founding in 1976, the Touchstone has continued a reputation for exhibiting contemporary work of high quality and innovation.
