Artist residents are selected based on the quality and strength of their work, their clearly expressed goals for their residency and the dynamics that fit the studio at a given time in order to foster the excellence and diverse creative atmosphere of STARworks Clay Studio. Residents are given time to push personal, technical, professional, and conceptual limits. Ceramic artists are encouraged to apply who are at a crucial stage in their career and require an opportunity to experiment, refine and formalize studio practices.
