Image Usage Rights
Images will be used for the first round of judging via via online review. Images of shortlisted artists will then be used to advertise the award show. A profile of the shortlist and award winners will be created after the end of the show to be archived on the Flourish Award home page. Images of unsuccessful applicants will be removed.
Art Call for The Flourish Award 2017
Established in 2009 by West Yorkshire Print Workshop, The Flourish Award, champions and showcases excellence in printmaking across Yorkshire. The award provides UK printmakers and artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a group exhibition at the WYPW Gallery. The award winner gets their own solo print exhibition at Huddersfield Art Gallery in 2017. The winner also benefit from a two-week residency at WYPW.
To enter, upload three images for selection by our independent panel. Confirmed judges include Yvonne Hardman, Head of Collections and Programmes, Leeds Art Gallery; Grant Scanlon, Senior Curator, Kirklees Museums and Galleries; and Sumi Perera, Artist/Printmaker and winner of Flourish Award 2015.
The standard entry fee is £15. Members of the West Yorkshire Print Workshop pay £10.
The submission deadline is Monday 3 July.
Shortlisted artists are invited to show their work in the Flourish exhibition held at West Yorkshire Print Workshop from 16 September - 28 October 2017. During the exhibition the judges will select the Flourish Award Winner.
