Call for Entries: Nature Photography Portfolio Competition

All About Photo invites photographers worldwide to submit portfolios for AAP Magazine Issue 60, featuring the theme Nature.

This international photography competition celebrates compelling bodies of work that explore the beauty, diversity, and power of the natural world. Photographers are invited to submit a cohesive portfolio that demonstrates a consistent artistic vision and thoughtful approach to the theme.

Nature photography encompasses a wide range of subjects and perspectives, including:

• Landscape Photography — Mountains, forests, coastlines, deserts, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and natural environments, as well as places where nature has reclaimed human-made structures.
• Wildlife Photography — Animals photographed in their natural habitats, capturing behavior, movement, and the rich diversity of life across ecosystems.
• Flora and Fauna — Plants, flowers, trees, fungi, and other living organisms, highlighting the intricate details, textures, colors, and patterns found in nature.

Whether documenting vast landscapes, intimate botanical studies, or remarkable wildlife encounters, photographers are encouraged to create work that conveys the beauty, complexity, and fragility of the natural world. Successful portfolios should demonstrate originality, technical excellence, and a strong visual narrative while inspiring appreciation for nature and environmental stewardship.

Portfolio Requirements

Applicants should submit a cohesive body of work consisting of a unified photographic project or series. Individual images should relate through subject matter, concept, style, or visual approach. Images previously published in AAP Magazine are not eligible.

Awards and Publication

Selected photographers will receive:

• $1,000 in cash awards
• Publication of their winning portfolio or selected images in AAP Magazine Vol. 60
• A complimentary printed copy of the magazine
• A featured portfolio in the All About Photo Winners Gallery
• International press coverage and worldwide exposure through All About Photo's online platforms and social media

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated on:

• Creativity
• Originality
• Visual and emotional impact

Winning photographers will be announced by All About Photo and featured across its digital platforms and social media channels.

AI-generated images are not eligible for this competition.

1st Place Winner
Cash Prize: $500 (US Dollars).
Exclusive interview and winning image(s) or portfolio published in **AAP Magazine, Volume 60: Nature**.
One free copy of AAP Magazine that will be for sale and distributed on Blurb.com.
Winning work showcased on the online Winners Gallery of All About Photo.

2nd Place Winner
Cash Prize: $300 (US Dollars).

Particular Merit Mention
The next 22 winners (ranked from 4 to 25) will have their best image(s) or portfolio published in AAP Magazine Vol. 60.
