Call to photographers.

Throughout history, photographers have highly valued buildings as photographic subjects, mirroring society's appreciation for architecture and its cultural significance.

As building designs have changed and made a break from traditional forms, architectural photography has also evolved. During the early-to-mid-20th century, architectural photography became more creative as photographers used bold shadows and lines in their compositions, and experimented with other techniques, that resulted in architectural photography being viewed as more of an art form.

Our juror for Architectural Photography is Michael Pannier. He is an award-winning professional fine art and commercial photographer who is now located in Greenville, SC. His previous base was Maryland. Michael has spent thirty years in photography, twenty years in the gallery and art world. His work can be found in galleries across the country, and he is a frequent exhibition juror and curator, portfolio reviewer and speaker on the business of fine art photography. When not in South Carolina Michael can be found leading photographic expeditions in Death Valley and the Eastern Sierra.

35-40 selected images will hang in the SE Center’s main gallery space for approximately one month.
