The ABSTRACT International Juried Art Competition is one of the most important avant-garde events in the world, organized by TERAVARNA, dedicated to uncompromising creativity and to opposing conventional styles. TERAVARNA has been giving cash prizes since its inception, more than $186,425 to date, attracting international interest for abstract, figurative, flower, landscape, and experimental works. Connecting independent creators to global curators provides a larger network of opportunities for creators than would be available in their communities.

TERAVARNA 17th ABSTRACT International Juried Art Competition

TERAVARNA invites artists worldwide to participate in its 17th ABSTRACT International Juried Art Competition, exploring contemporary approaches to abstraction. The competition encourages artists to consider how abstraction is created, perceived, and experienced through elements such as line, color, shape, form, texture, and space.

Abstract and Semi-Representational Art

The competition welcomes purely abstract and non-representational 2D and 3D artwork, as well as semi-representational work. Artists are encouraged to experiment with their chosen medium and explore individual approaches to composition, structure, color, texture, and form.

All Media Welcome

The competition accepts artwork in a wide range of media, including:

• Painting

• Sculpture

• Digital design

• Fine art photography

• Mixed media

• Textile art

• Printmaking

• Spatial installations

The competition is conducted entirely online. Artists should submit a clear, color-accurate digital photograph of each artwork through TERAVARNA’s online entry form.

Prizes and Opportunities

The competition offers a $5,000 cash prize pool, along with additional opportunities for selected artists, including social media promotion, free marketplace representation on ARTSY for top winners, and custom VR gallery integration.

Entry Information

Artists may submit up to 10 artworks, with an entry fee of $20 per artwork.
