Live, work and engage with the local community of Red Hook, Brooklyn at our studio DE-CONSTRUKT. Share a beautiful spacious 3000 sq. ft. loft with beautiful skylights, a photography darkroom, an art book library, wet sinks, and event space. Private fully-furnished bedrooms, one with a separate studio, with shared bathroom and kitchen. Accessible on-street parking and roof access with a view of Manhattan. 

We invite artists, photographers, musicians, filmmakers, writers, curators, researchers and creatives to apply for 2020 residency opportunities. We provide a space to develop new ideas and encouragement to form new networks.

All participants must work within the community of Red Hook. We will assist with each resident on how to make contact with the local community and will publicize their work in our newsletter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and our web site.

Our studio is perfect for photographers, full access to photography darkroom with custom build enlarger bay fitted to print negatives up to 4x5 inches and provide the tools necessary to process prints up to 11x14 inches. Need private instruction or want to learn more about alternative processing we can arrange this too.

The residency fee for two weeks is $675 for a private bedroom with a large studio (1 person) or $550 for a private bedroom. The residency fee must be paid in full before arrival. Artists are responsible for all expenses including supplies and travel. Two-week minimum for the residency.
