Call for Entries: Cyanotype – A Celebration of Process and Possibility

PhotoPlace Gallery invites photographers and visual artists to submit work for Cyanotype: A Celebration of Process and Possibility, a juried exhibition dedicated to the enduring appeal and creative versatility of the cyanotype process.

This international photography exhibition welcomes artists working with cyanotype in both traditional and experimental forms, including:

  • Traditional contact prints
  • Camera-made cyanotypes
  • Photograms
  • Digital negative cyanotypes
  • Toned and wet cyanotypes
  • Alternative substrates
  • Mixed-media cyanotype works
  • Experimental and contemporary cyanotype techniques

All subject matter is welcome; however, cyanotype must serve as a primary component of the finished artwork.

The exhibition coincides with World Cyanotype Day, an international celebration of one of photography’s most influential and recognizable alternative photographic processes. As part of the event, PhotoPlace Gallery will host a special reception, workshops, and cyanotype-focused programming on September 26, bringing together artists, photographers, and the community to celebrate the evolving possibilities of this historic photographic medium.
