Darkness: Juried Photography Exhibition
Decode Gallery invites photographers to submit work for Darkness, a juried exhibition exploring the visual and emotional possibilities of low light, shadow, and the unseen. All forms of photography are welcome, including portraits, interiors, nocturnal landscapes, and still lifes.
Theme: Darkness
Darkness may serve as the central subject of an image, shape its composition, or establish its atmosphere. Photographers are encouraged to explore how light and shadow create emotion, build tension, and draw viewers into a scene.
Possible subjects include an unlit room, a face emerging from shadow, a landscape before dawn, or an object barely visible in fading light. Submissions may explore subtle contrasts, deep shadows, and the spaces where light is scarce.
The exhibition welcomes work that considers themes such as mystery, solitude, uncertainty, and introspection, revealing the beauty and meaning that can emerge from darkness.
