We invite artists to submit work celebrating Fashion, Fiber, and Textiles. The exhibition looks to showcase pieces from all approaches. From fashionable adult garments, costumes, fashion sketches, and illustrations to fiber-based works including weaving and fiber sculpture to textiles such as art quilts, embroidery, batik, and tie-dye. We look forward to seeing all work ranging from traditional techniques to contemporary experimentation!

Eligible work: Artists may submit up to 2 works for consideration for both the in-gallery exhibit and virtual gallery of works on our website. All submissions within our guidelines will be considered. All styles and aesthetics are accepted, from traditional to abstract to contemporary. McCord Gallery selections are based on creativity, quality of artistry and originality as represented in the images submitted. Any work involving AI (artificial intelligence) will not be accepted.

• We accept only original works, created by the artist/entrant.
• Art from a class, pattern, or kit is not acceptable.
• Artworks must be of original design completed after January 1, 2024.

Guidelines: All artworks must remain on exhibit in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. Entrants must be 18 years or older and living within the United States. All work must be ready to hang for the show. Non-framed art must be able to hang for display. Framed work must have a wire across the back to hang the work. If possible, fiber work and textiles should have a dowel rod or something similar to ensure that the work can hang for display. Any garments or costumes must be on a hanger to hang for display. If artist wishes to display their garments or costumes on a body form, the artist must bring their own.

Fees: The application fee of $25 for up to two (2) artworks is due upon submission of work. This non-refundable fee covers the cost of the exhibition, which includes printing, reception, and other expenses.

Deadline to Enter: September 20, 2026

Artist Notification: No later than September 21. Notification by email whether entries are accepted or not accepted.

Delivery of Works: Friday, September 25 10am-4pm and Saturday, September 26, 12-4pm *Deliveries after September 26 will have a late fee of $25

Exhibition Dates: October 5 - October 31

Artist Reception: Friday, October 9, 6-8pm

Pick-up of Work: November 2 and November 3, 11am-4pm
