Event History
The Global Lens Photography Awards is an established international photography awards program returning for its 2026 edition after the 2025 awards introduced photographers worldwide to GLPA recognition, published award benefits and a global call for entries. The 2026 call builds on that foundation with a broader competition structure, nine major categories and a clear awards program designed for photographers seeking serious international recognition.
What Makes this event different?
Global Lens Photography Awards is built around photographic merit, authorship and long-term recognition. The 2026 awards welcome both single images and series across Advertising, Architecture, Black & White, Story & Culture, Fine Art, Minimalist, Nature, People and Special. Entries are judged anonymously by an independent international panel, with attention to visual impact, technique, composition and storytelling. The awards are designed to give selected photographers recognition that remains visible beyond results day through publication, exhibition placement, interviews and official award credentials.
Copyright Policy
Photographers retain full copyright ownership of their work. Entrants must submit original photographs they have the right to enter. Global Lens Photography Awards uses submitted and selected images only in connection with the awards, including judging, winners announcements, exhibitions, Annual Book publication, website display, editorial coverage and award-related promotion, with photographer credit.
Image Usage Rights
Submitted and selected images may be used to administer, promote and document the Global Lens Photography Awards, including the Annual Book, virtual exhibition, winners gallery, interviews, social media, newsletters, press coverage and future award-related retrospectives. Images are credited to the photographer and are not sold or licensed for unrelated commercial use.
Global Lens Photography Awards 2026 is now open for entries, inviting photographers aged 18 and above from around the world to submit work for one of the year’s international photography awards. The 2026 edition welcomes both emerging and established image-makers, with submissions accepted as single images or series.
The awards are open across nine major categories: Advertising, Architecture, Black & White, Story & Culture, Fine Art, Minimalist, Nature, People and Special. This broad structure gives photographers room to enter work that reflects visual strength, authorship and a lasting photographic presence.
The 2026 program continues Global Lens Photography Awards’ growing international awards history, following the visibility and recognition established through the 2025 edition. The awards are judged anonymously by an independent international panel, with entries considered for photographic merit, including visual impact, technique, composition and storytelling.
Recognition is designed to be useful beyond the announcement of winners. Selected photographers may receive official certificates, Annual Book publication, virtual exhibition placement, interview opportunities, website and social media visibility, and recognition across category and subcategory levels.
The Photographer of the Year receives the competition’s highest distinction, including a €1,000 cash prize, commemorative trophy, dedicated Annual Book feature, published interview and prominent exhibition placement.
Registration opened on June 1, 2026. The Early-Bird deadline is July 30, 2026, and the final deadline is September 30, 2026. Winners are scheduled to be announced in mid-November 2026.
Photographers who want their work considered for international awards recognition, publication and exhibition are invited to enter through the official Global Lens Photography Awards website.
