Call for Entries: Mood – Virtual Animal Art Exhibition

Wild Heart Gallery invites artists to submit work for Mood, a virtual juried art exhibition celebrating emotion, atmosphere, personality, and expression through animal art.

This exhibition seeks artwork that captures the emotional presence of animals or evokes a strong emotional response in the viewer. Artists are encouraged to explore mood through color, composition, movement, lighting, facial expression, gesture, texture, and visual storytelling.

Theme: Mood & Emotion in Animal Art

All animal species are welcome, and all moods and attitudes are encouraged.

Mood may be expressed through:

• Animal pose and body language
• Facial expression and gesture
• Color palette and atmosphere
• Composition and visual rhythm
• Emotional tone created by the artwork as a whole

The mood can reflect the emotional state of the animal(s) depicted and/or the feeling the artwork evokes for the viewer.

Eligible Media

Wild Heart Gallery welcomes a wide range of artistic approaches and styles, including:

• Painting
• Drawing
• Printmaking
• Sculpture
• Ceramics
• Pastels
• Mixed media
• Photography
• Original digital art (no AI-generated artwork)
• 2D and 3D artwork

All submissions must feature an animal and must be original artwork created by the submitting artist.

Style & Approach

Both representational and abstract interpretations are encouraged. Wild Heart Gallery welcomes everything from highly detailed wildlife photography to expressive brushwork, experimental mixed media, sculptural work, and contemporary animal-inspired art practices.

This virtual exhibition offers artists an opportunity to showcase creative interpretations of animal emotion, energy, and atmosphere while connecting with a broader audience of animal art collectors and enthusiasts.
