CHALLENGE 2026 – Curatorial Selection
The Challenge 2026 is an annual curatorial selection dedicated to emerging and mid-career artists working in contemporary visual and interdisciplinary practices.
It is not a one-off open call, but a structured process of observation, evaluation, and long-term curatorial monitoring. The Challenge is designed for artists who wish to enter an international artistic framework based on continuity, research, and professional development rather than short-term visibility.
Artists selected through the monthly calls of the year automatically become finalists of the Challenge 2026. Throughout the year, their work is observed within an editorial and curatorial context that considers artistic research, visual coherence, consistency over time, and the ability to develop a personal language within the contemporary art landscape.
The Challenge represents the final stage of this process. Finalists are evaluated by the curatorial team, and selected artists may be invited to join the NNC Gallery Collective, a curated network of artists followed, supported, and promoted through exhibitions, publications, editorial projects, and international partnerships.
Participation in the Challenge does not guarantee inclusion in the Collective. Selection is based on artistic merit, research depth, and alignment with the curatorial vision of the gallery. The focus is not on trends or immediate results, but on the potential for growth and sustained artistic practice.
The Challenge 2026 offers:
Long-term curatorial observation
Editorial visibility through magazines and publications
Opportunities for exhibitions and curated projects
Inclusion in an international artistic and professional network
This process is intended for artists who understand art as a practice that evolves over time, and who are willing to engage in a serious, reflective, and professional path.
The Challenge is not a competition in the traditional sense.
It is a curatorial gateway.
