Call for Entries for Artists

Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio, invites visual artists and designers worldwide to submit original work for PICTURE STORM, a juried exhibition exploring image overload and the experience of living in a world filled with visual information.

Our lives are increasingly saturated with pictures. Images are produced, reproduced, shared, printed, projected, and distributed at an accelerating pace through technology, advertising, news, entertainment, and social media. PICTURE STORM considers how we navigate this constant stream of images and invites work addressing multiplicity, reproduction, excess, archives, records, overload, and the ways visual information shapes our experience of the world.

Eligibility and Media

The exhibition is open internationally to artists of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of achievement. Submitted works must be original and address the broad theme of image overload.

All traditional and non-traditional genres and media are welcome.

There are no specific size restrictions beyond what can be accommodated within Manifest's gallery spaces, walls, and entryways. Manifest does not impose a general date restriction on when submitted works must have been created.

Entry Fee

$45 for up to three entries
$5 for each additional entry

There is no limit to the number of entries. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Artist Honorarium and Award

Every exhibiting artist will receive a $50 cash honorarium.

One jury-selected work from the exhibition will receive a $1,000 Grand Jury Award. The award is determined through a second jury process from among the top-scoring works selected for the exhibition.
