The International Juried Photography Competition, Picture This!, is here to celebrate the singularity of the camera lens to freeze time, capture raw emotion, and tell visual stories. The platform has a long history of bringing visual creators to the world and giving them exposure. In addition to the photography category, themed competitions are honored at TERAVARNA Foundation, offering several ways to express oneself visually to visual artists from all over the world.

TERAVARNA Foundation conducts more than a simple photography contest; it's a road to global recognition. We maintain this competition as purely and simply as possible so that anyone with a voice can have a chance to have their work showcased on our site, generate tremendous audience traction, and be a part of a curated global community of photographers.

Los Angeles-based TERAVARNA is an international gallery for modern art expression, and the TERAVARNA Foundation is a nonprofit organization that runs for the sake of the welfare of not only artists but every living creature on this planet. 

TERAVARNA organizes regular competitions all over the world, gathering visual creators from all over the world to be recognized, exposed, and developed as creatives. This time, the TERAVARNA Foundation offers artists a vibrant platform to be displayed, awarded, and to make an impact in the world of art.

Picture This! International Juried Photography Competition is an entirely free event for photographers, visual storytellers, and shutterbugs from all around the world to communicate their own visions of the world. This event will be open to all styles of photography. From angular architecture to honest street photography, from monumental landscapes to innovative macro shots—this is your moment. Through the lens, you can convey the spirit of our reality or surreal views. 

This online photo competition eliminates the hassle of having to travel to a venue, as it is digital. No print, frame, or sending of your work via post is required to participate. Simply choose your best and most well-written digital photographic frames and submit them directly from our official website page. You can use traditional film scans, DSLRs, or mobile photography, but either way, it is your opportunity to bring the visual world to life from a fresh perspective and technique.

The photographers can submit work in any of the photographic genres and sub-genres: conceptual, documentary, fine art, portraiture, street, and wildlife photography. The top 3 winners will get massively promoted through our platforms and will get featured on the website, blog, newsletter, etc. Moreover, winners are also given a certificate of participation and a $5 discount for our next paid competition entry, plus a special nomination for our year-end MEGA Award: Winner of Winners.

Entries should be original and creative and show an excellent eye for composition and technical skill. All entries are entirely free of fees. It's your safe space to be creative, to begin to stretch, and to express your ideas to a huge audience. Don't delay; the deadline is August 5th, 2026.

Use interesting contrast, shapes, abundant texture, and energetic color grading to add a sense of place, story, and energy to your lens. Take a step onto a global platform and into an invisible world of visual media—share your vision with the world.
