Event History

Co-Founders Alex Mitow and James created Superfine in 2015, and since then it has been expanding. From NYC and Miami to DC, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and more on the horizon, Superfine has continued to develop as its audience grows.

What Makes this event different?

Unlike traditional fairs the Superfine art fair is artist-driven. There are no commissions on sales. Artists get assistance with curating and marketing their artwork at the fair, and pre-qualified buyers are brought in. You make the work. You sell the work. You keep the sales.

Art Call for Artists

Sell Art + Meet Your Next Collector at Superfine Art Fair Oct. 13-16 in LA

“I have been incredibly busy with sales...the cachet of being in a major art fair continues to reverberate.” – Jessica Ruth Freedman | Superfine Exhibitor

Are you an emerging artist, but unsure of where to begin or are you a career artist who is looking for an easier way to sell your work? As an artist are you tired of art gallery experiences that don’t feel fulfilling and aren’t profitable?

You are not alone.

Say goodbye to the traditional art fair. Superfine Art Fair has been showing artists from around the world how to sell their art at our art fairs in New York City, Washington DC, Miami Beach, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattles since 2015.

The Fair has helped hundreds of artists get over feelings of hopelessness and anxiety about selling their work while gaining visibility and — most importantly — finding new collectors for their work.

You’ll feel spoiled by Superfine Art Fair’s personalized expert advice, insider tips, and continuous marketing support. At the fair, artists will experience real-world buyer responses that can inform them how to shift their business plans and make long-lasting connections with clients and fellow artists.

Superfine combines the passion of producing art with the passion of owning it, as it targets pre-qualified buyers with high purchase intent and high disposable income. Experts assist artists with curating price points and layouts for individual success. Webinars and even in-fair seminars are taught to give artists the best chance at the fair.

Remember: Superfine takes no commission on any artwork sold. Make art. Sell art. We do the rest.

But don’t just take our word for it:

"The fair itself was an amazing experience, the atmosphere was so welcoming and warm. I met a lot of buyers, interested gallery owners and public art representatives as well as brilliant fellow artists and the very juicy cherry on top was that I sold 13 pieces over the 4 days! On top of that I also sold 2 more pieces after the fair had finished thanks to being on the Superfine website. It felt like I was part of a great family and I can’t wait for the next one!"  -Valerie Auersperg, Superfine Exhibitor

“The art-world antidote to 'the bloated, oversized art fair model.’” -Sarah Cascone & Caroline Goldstein, Artnet

“Giving the traditional model of selling and acquiring art a run for its money." – Sam Manzella, Logo’s NewNowNext

"Superfine isn’t a traditional art fair." – Amanda Lauren, Forbes

If you are having trouble finding art collectors, marketing your art, and really zeroing in on the right audience for your work, Superfine Art Fair is the greatest opportunity you didn’t know you had.

Join us in LA October 13-16, 2022 for three days of selling art, meeting new collectors, and enjoying the best art fair experience of your life.
