The Herberger Theater Center’s Art Gallery features the creative and inspiring work of Arizona artists. All artwork is for sale with a portion of the proceeds from each piece sold benefiting the Herberger Theater. We are Phoenix’s center stage, engaging the community through diverse arts experiences that ignite emotion, stimulate conversation, and inspire connections with the arts.
This exhibit will show the artists’ perception of a vacation. Is it far from home? Lounging on a beach or shushing down a cold mountainside? Many people or only one? Is it in the country enjoying the fresh air or in the big city taking in the sites or shopping?
Guest Curator Jo Allebach and her jury will select work using a blind jury process. Criteria include: Adequacy to the Theme, Originality and Quality of Execution. This exhibit is open to Arizona artists, 18 years and older. Both two and three-dimensional artwork will be accepted. Please do not submit work that has previously been exhibited in the Herberger Theater Gallery. Work must be available for exhibition and must be for sale. Once selected, no substitutions will be accepted. Artwork will remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. Work must not be valued at more than $3,000 per piece. The Herberger Theater receives a 30% donation from all artwork purchased.
