Call for Entries for Photographers
For Conservation, Black Eyes Gallery invites photographers to explore broad interpretations of the things we value and would want to save through photography.
What is worth preserving? It might be the cottonwood trees that have stood for hundreds of years along the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona, wild horses, or family traditions that depend on each generation to keep them alive. It might be cultural traditions, historic buildings, a family home, or a cathedral that has stood for centuries.
Photography gives us the ability to document and remember these things, while also bringing attention to what may be at risk. By sharing the people, places, traditions, and environments we want to save, preserve, or conserve, photographs can help ensure that they are remembered and, potentially, contribute to efforts to protect them.
Open Interpretation
Black Eyes Gallery welcomes a wide interpretation of the theme across all genres of photography. Consider what matters to you and what you believe is worth preserving.
