Copyright Policy
USE RIGHTS: Artists retain all copyright to their own images. By submitting for jurying, artists whose submissions are chosen for the exhibition grant SAC’s and the Montgomery Photo Festival the right to use their images for the purpose of promoting the artist, promoting exhibitions, and subsequent display on SAC’s and the Montgomery Photo Festival websites of current and past exhibitions. Further, the artist represents that he or she created the image and has the right to make this grant of use.
Image Usage Rights
Image Usage Rights Promotions and images may also be placed on social networks for the SAC’s and the Montgomery Photo Festival. Artists grant the use of their image(s) as stated without further contact or compensation from SAC’s and the Montgomery Photo Festival. We do run ads in print media at times promoting our events. Should your image(s) be selected for a printed promotion, you may be asked to provide the exhibit with a digital image of higher resolution that the one submitted for the jury process.
Montgomery Photo Festival – Call for Entries
This is the 8th year of the Montgomery Photo Festival. It is an international juried exhibition that is open to all photographers—professional and amateur—who are working in any photographic medium. There are no age restrictions. There is no theme, and there is no time limit on when the photo was taken. Just submit your best work!
Juror: Dr. Carol McCusker for thirteen years, has been the Curator of Photography at the Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida, Gainesville, where she has curated twenty-nine exhibitions to date. Standouts are Aftermath: The Fallout of War in response to the 2014 Syrian civil war (it won a National Endowment for the Arts grant and Warhol Foundation
Awards:
Best in Show – $1,000
Best in Category (Color, Monochromatic, Alternative Process, Manipulation) – $500 each
Merit Award (at juror’s discretion) – $250 each
Total Cash Awards: $4,000
