Email Friend Add to Favorites Report Listing

Event History

NO DEAD ARTISTS was created in 1995 in order to give a voice to emerging artists. In the ’1990s, the exhibition was open only to artists in New Orleans. It subsequently grew to include artists of Louisiana. In 2010, the exhibition expanded and turned into a national juried exhibition that is open to artists from the entire United States. The call went international in 2014. Now, NO DEAD ARTISTS has become an exhibition that has time and again discovered new and emerging talent and is one of the most celebrated art exhibitions in the South.

What Makes this event different?

This exhibition is known for its diverse range of media, showcasing the best of contemporary art. It has been a stepping stone for artists, leading to national recognition, gallery representation, and acquisitions by museums.
