Image Usage Rights
Any image submitted may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to this show. This use may include publication in any publications, printed materials, advertisements, or electronic media. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.
Art Call for Photographers
The Downtown Arts Collective is accepting artist submissions for an exhibition exploring film photography.
Artists from all geographic locations are invited to submit their work.
Selected images will be chosen by a jury and announced February 17th, 2022.
36 images will be printed and framed by DAC and exhibited in our gallery spaces on February 25th, 2022. The selected works will remain on view at the Analog Film Photography Association Gallery. A closing reception and publication release event will take place at AFPA on March 4, 2022.

$250 film processing credit with PUBLIC DARKROOM
Rules/Guidelines: Downtown Arts Collective x PUBLIC DARKROOM will provide free printing, matting and framing for all of our exhibitions. Photographers who are selected into the exhibition by the juror will provide a high resolution JPEG file for our gallery to print.
Information on our framing & printing process: Photographs will be printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper matte using Epson Stylus Pro 7890. We offer 16” x 20” black frames. Our white mats are pre cut for 12” x 18” and 11” x 14” prints.
All exhibition prints will be kept in a flat file after the show for future sale and promotion of the photographer.
File agreement for accepted photographers: Downtown Arts Collective and PUBLIC DARKROOM will only print one exhibition print. If there is a sale inquiry, the photographer will be notified before a sale is confirmed, edition information will be discussed with photographer, the photographer will be sent an authentication document to be signed and included with the print to the collector. No sale or printing of files will happen without prior consent and agreement of photographer. All rights remain to the file and print with the photographer, to be used only with their prior consent. Exhibition print will not be sold, but used in our flat file at Downtown Arts Collective only to promote the photographers work. Downtown Arts Collective and Public Darkroom reserve the right to use submitted images for further promotion of the exhibition. An exhibition catalog and publication will be printed containing selected works and exhibition images.
Downtown Arts Collective keeps a 25% commission on all sales, 75% goes to the photographer.
If artist prefers, works do not have to be offered for sale. Print may be for exhibition and promotion only if elected.
Notification: All photographers will be notified 3-5 days after the deadline about juror selections.
