This is a vibrant celebration of contemporary photography that will connect the artistic landscapes of San Diego, California, and Mexico City. This prestigious event is to be hosted in collaboration with The Studio Door in San Diego, backed by the Secretaría de Cultura CDMX, and featured online at Artsy.net, providing unparalleled in-person and online exposure.

We seek groundbreaking works that push the boundaries of photography, challenge perceptions, and explore alternative visions of the future. We seek works that transcend the standardized digital photography proliferated by platforms like Instagram. Whether your focus is on conceptual photography, documentary styles, or experimental imagery, Foto(grafia) offers a unique platform to connect with an international audience and the broader artistic community.

Additionally, a special edition of The Bureau of Queer Art podcast and magazine will be produced in conjunction with this exhibition, offering further recognition and discussion of your work.

Meet the Jurors

Robert Rausch Robert grew up in the South and has lived and worked in Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. He holds a Masters of Fine Art from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Rausch's photography has been featured in renowned publications like the New York Times, Travel & Leisure, and Elle. His design work can be seen at Anthropologie, Hilton Hotels, and Whole Foods, among others. Robert lives on a small farm in north Alabama.

Nancy Oliveri Nancy Oliveri is an American fine art photographer from Providence, Rhode Island. Educated at Hartford Art School, she has exhibited internationally and in the US. Her work includes 17 self-published photo books and experiments in AI-enhanced photography, earning awards like the Paris PX3 and Julia Margaret Cameron Awards. Oliveri will be exhibiting her surrealist AI work at Fotonostrum in Barcelona, opening October 31.


Patric Stillman stands as a prominent figure in the San Diego art scene. As a dedicated advocate for the local art community, Patric's commitment to fostering creativity is not only reflected in the vibrant atmosphere of his gallery but also in the annual traditions he has established. With a keen eye for diversity and inclusion, Patric illuminates the works of LGBTQ artists through standout exhibitions like "PROUD+," contributing significantly to the representation of underrepresented voices in the art world. His passion extends beyond the gallery walls, as evidenced by his collaborations with various organizations, underscoring the vital role visual art plays in enriching the broader community.

This year, in addition to his role as a gallery owner, Patric Stillman assumes the crucial position of a juror in international exhibitions, including “Foto(grafia)" In this role, Patric brings a unique perspective shaped by years of experience, community engagement, and a deep understanding of contemporary art. His discerning eye and dedication to showcasing excellence have made him a sought-after figure in the art adjudication realm, contributing to the cultivation of talent and the elevation of San Diego's artistic landscape on a national scale.
