Event History
This year Studio Montclair Inc. is once again partnering with Montclair Art Museum for our Community Partnership Program. Created by co-founder and past president Virginia S. Block, it is now in its seventh year. The partnership exhibition aims to reach out to other nonprofit organizations each year to create a collaborative exhibition designed to inspire our members, create new connections, and reach new audiences.
What Makes this event different?
This joint exhibition will be displayed concurrently at two locations in Montclair: Studio Montclair’s Leach Gallery and MAM’s Vance Wall Art Education Center Gallery. The works will be on view beginning September 12, 2024. An opening reception will coincide at both locations on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 7-9:00PM

Studio Montclair and Montclair Art Museum reserve the right to photograph and use accepted work for documentation, website, publicity, social media, or catalog purposes.
Inspired by Family and Community will be shown in 2 venues simulaneously - Studio Montclair's Leach Gallery and Montclair Art Museum's Vance Wall Eduction Center Gallery.
The inspirational theme for this year’s call is based on MAM’s current exhibition “Family, Community, Belonging: Works from the Collection” which explores concepts of family and community in relation to belonging, diversity and inclusion. The exhibition features a variety of historic, modern, and contemporary works. This year MAM will also be hosting the 2024 New Jersey Fine Arts Annual.
For this exhibition, you are invited to explore the theme of how do you define your family, community and belonging.
On view from September 12 through October 20, 2024.
Opening Reception at both venues simultaneously on Thursday, September 26, 6-8 PM.
