January invites us to slow down, reset, and let go of big expectations. After a season of excess, this month is about scale, focus, and noticing what happens when we work small. Smaller projects can feel lighter, more playful, and more approachable—perfect for easing back into making without pressure.
This month, we invite you to take something you usually make and shrink it. Think miniature versions, reduced palettes, simpler forms, or projects that fit in the palm of your hand. A tiny quilt block. A single embroidered word. A small sculpture made entirely from scraps. Let the constraints guide you rather than limit you.
Small doesn’t mean insignificant, it often means intentional.
