This is the 10th year and 6th edition of the London Art Biennale. Over the years, thousands of artists have been presented from over 70 nations. The London Art Biennale has been opened by The Lord Mayors of Kensington & Chelsea and Lady Frederick Windsor.
What Makes this event different?
The London Art Biennale is a museum-quality award show, that is professionally curated to induce a stimulating, varied yet coherent experience for the viewer. Through the years, the Biennale has committed significant efforts to charity. Original artworks by Andy Warhol, Pietro Annigoni, Jose Van Roy Dali, and a Fiat 500 have been donated with 100% of proceeds gifted to various charitable organizations such as the Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” Charity, the Salvation Army, London’s Air Ambulance, and Age UK.

Image Usage Rights
The London Biennale is a celebration of art and our purpose is to promote art. Therefore, permission for the posting of artworks on social media and for press publication is automatically granted by an artist when an artwork is submitted. Images of works may be chosen and published on our social medias to promote the exhibition. Please note that we can only post some, not all, artwork submissions on socials and that artworks published on our social medias during the selection process are not automatically approved for the exhibition. All artists that are subsequently approved for the Biennale also agree for their work to be published on our printed catalogue for the 2023 edition of the London Art Biennale.
Call for Entry for the The London Art Biennale
The London Art Biennale gathers creativity, talent, innovation and beauty embodied by the artworks of the over 350 selected artists representing over 50 nations.
The show is organised by the International Confederation of Art Critics, Gagliardi Gallery, established for over 45 years on the King's Road, and the Chianciano Art Museum. This landmark art exhibition showcases contemporary art in the stunning Chelsea Old Town Hall, King’s Road for its 6th edition taking place in July 2023. The Official inauguration is by invitation only and the exhibition is open to the general public, free entry, from the 24th until the 30th of July.
- Artists can apply from any stage of their careers and from any nation.
- Artists can apply with one or more artworks but each artwork will be judged individually.
- There are no geographical nor thematic limitations to artwork submissions.
- Artworks can have been previously exhibited or published.
- Approximately 300-400 artists will be selected purely on the basis of the artwork submitted.
- Accepted artistic disciplines are not restricted and include works on canvas/ board/ paper/ other supports, mediums such as oil/ acrylic/ collage/ watercolours/ mixed medias, photography, digital art (including AI assisted art), video art, sculpture, fibre art and installation.
- There is no specific size limit but if an intended artwork submission is larger than 250cm on the largest side please contact us and request specific guidance prior to submitting.
- If a single artwork has numerous elements, that are integral parts of the same artwork such as a diptych or triptych, then it is considered as one artwork submission.
- Artworks that are in a series that can be sold or shown individually/separately are regarded as separate submissions.
- Collaborative works are eligible. When the work is submitted please write all artist names under the artist name field (e.g. artist name & artist name &…) and use your collaborative group name under the pseudonym field if you have one.
- Selected artists will be announced in mid June on social media and our website. The selected artists will also be contacted by email.
- Approved artists are invited to attend the Biennale inauguration with guests but there is no actual requirement for artists to be personally present during the Biennale.
Artists have the chance to win numerous awards including monetary prizes totalling £11,000 GBP as well as a wide range of acknowledgments such as the opportunity to be professionally critiqued by the International Confederation of Art Critics.
