Megalo Print Studio + Gallery has been at the forefront of Australian printmaking for over 35 years. Based in Canberra, Australia. We are a professional open-access printmaking studio providing facilities in screen printing on paper and fabric, lithography, etching and relief printing. Since its beginnings Megalo has provided artists and the broader community with access to specialised printmaking facilities, equipment and expertise. Megalo also has a long history of running workshops for community groups and schools and runs regular printmaking courses for beginners through to masterclasses.
The Megalo Artist-In-Residence program is a supported residency opportunity open to Australian and International artists at all stages of their careers. In 2019 there will be five places for Australian artists and 1 international place. The selected artists will receive a stipend, accommodation (international and interstate based artists) and studio access to Megalo’s comprehensive, professional printmaking facilities.
Key dates for applicants
• Applications open: 5pm (AEDT) 1 September 2018.
• Applications close: 5pm (AEDT) 31 October 2018.
• Notification of outcome: by Mid-December 2018.
• Timing of residencies: 1 February 2019 – 29 November 2019.
